At LPPA, we work hard to keep your personal data safe and secure. So, we’re pleased to announce that we have been re-certified for our cyber security – fittingly, just ahead of Data Protection Day next week (Tuesday, 28 January).

Cyber Essentials is a government-backed certification scheme that’s been set up to help UK businesses, like us, protect themselves from common online threats. We’ve been re-certified with Cyber Essentials Plus for another year – a step up from Cyber Essentials, which includes an independent technical audit of the cyber security we use.

Accreditations like this emphasise our commitment to cyber security and the importance of keeping data well-protected.

The audit covered five key areas, including:

  • Controlled data access – such as using authentication processes to stop scammers accessing personal data.
  • Secure internet connection – such as using firewalls to protect us from hackers.
  • Strong virus protection – such as using software to stop us from receiving scam emails.
  • Unshakable devices – such as data protection features to stop malicious attacks on our computers.
  • Latest software – such as regularly updating software to keep our systems safe and secure.
