Leading UK public sector pension administrator appoints new chair and non-executive director to strengthen LPPA Board
LPPA, the pension administration company, based in Preston, Lancashire, is delighted to announce the appointment of a new Chair and a new Non-Executive Director (NED) to its company board.
Ron Jarman, has been appointed as the new LPPA Board Chair, replacing the previous Chairman, Sir Peter Rogers. Richard Thomas has been appointed as LPPA Board NED.
The news follows other developments at LPPA this year, including the addition of a new client. The London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham Pension Fund became the company’s 18th pension administration client in January 2022.
A wealth of experience
Ron Jarman, who was previously an NED on the LPPA Board, started his position as Chair in July 2022. He brings a wealth of experience to the role, having been the Chair of a number of UK organisations and charities. He is also the current Chair of the National Employment Savings Trust (NEST) Employer Panel.
Richard Thomas started his new role as a Board NED in August 2022 and has also been appointed the Chair of the LPPA Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee. He brings a great deal of knowledge from his previous role as CEO of XPS Pensions Administration Ltd, which is part of the consulting and administration business, XPS Pensions Group. He also has a wide range of experience in governance, leadership and strategic thinking across private, public and voluntary sectors.
Richard Thomas joins Liz Woolman on the LPPA Board. Liz is also Chair of the LPPA Change & Technology Committee, and joined the Board as an NED back in May 2021. As well as being an Executive Coach, she brings many years of experience operating internationally at board level, including for global company BT. She is also an NED of the Pension Protection Fund, joining their Board earlier this year.
